Me in my sparkling and super safe Sparco race suit!. Happy to report that my week in Reno, NV for the PRS 2010 event went great.

Drag Racer performed awesomely and I couldn't grumble about my times too much. I was actually quite happy with my time if I'm honest - running laps of around 59 secs which puts my speed at about 195mph.

However, once we clean the aircraft up again, attach the wheel pants and a few other mods - we should be breaking the 200mph mark. And if not I'll be in trouble with Dennis who'll probably throw me out of the plane and fly her himself!

Pylon Racing School 2010!
One whole week of flying - hanging out with like minded individuals and of course more flying... what more can you ask for in life... except maybe a P51 parked in the hanger... ahh that's right some of you have!

Still us more mere mortals have to make do with - shall we say the simpler and somewhat less expensive pleasures in life!

Pylon 1: Met a really cool photographer while in Reno. Please visit his website below for some other truly awesome shots.

I believe this was from Pylon 1... love it.You can't really tell that it's me but it is I promise!
Felt good around the pylons but need to fly a tighter line if I'm to improve my chances in the Gold Class - of which I feel confident in qualifying for based on my times.

Shot taken from on top of Home Pylon: Pretty cool shot - I could actually see then on top of home pylon and wondered who they were!

I figured it was the FAA watching to make sure that I didn't fly too low!

Last Chance Brief: Do you think our instructors where concerned?

A big shout out to Dennis Brown and Mike Stubbs - those guys did a great job of keeping this gaggle of green pilots in check and more importantly in one piece.
